2/5/2023: Just two days after joining the Sheriff's Department, Raul was given his first field assignment by his Sergeant Alexandra Porowski. The assignment requirments were to conduct a citzen outreach by interacting with at least 2 residents of the county during his routine patrol and ask for their opinions about the Sheriff's Department. Without any hesitation, Raul rolled out on a patrol and started to look for situations where he could engage with the citizens in a respectful manner. Raul completed the assignment within 4 days and reported back to his Sergeant.         *Raul interacting with the citizens of the county*. _____________________________________________________________________________________________   Raul interacted with two citizens and gathered their thoughts on the Sheriff's Department. The first individual the encounrtered was a lumberjack working in the woods of Panopticon, who expressed appreciation for the Sheriff's Department's presence in the remote regions where criminal activities could go un-noticed. He further emphasized  that the Deputies presence in these areas reassures him that he is safe while working in the woods. The second interaction happened outside of the Fort Carson Bank. The individual positively acknowledged the professionalism of the Sheriff's Department while he also noted that Deputies are often not seen much patrolling in the towns but he still was confident in our ability to respond when needed. Both of the interactions were positive and also suggesting that increasing our presence in towns would further boost public confidence.     *Raul reporting back his to Sergant Alexandra Porowski* _____________________________________________________________________________________________ ________
