  1. if nothing else, these guys produced one of the most entertaining drama sequences in the history of mudoo, this was a fun read lol
  2. It's not unrealistic that groups are allied. Common interest brings criminal groups together and always has in human history. Biggest issue i see is unrealistic killing of officers. If you dropped 3 officers a day as a group IRL you'd have the entire national guard on you
  3. Identifying the weaponry usually used is only 1/10 things PD and tactical teams should know about the group before interaction Server grew since you were in charge of pd. Exponentionaly. Pd hasen't changed its dynamics at all since experiencing such drastic increases. Yes. Fed by an unmarked inteligence gathering division. A very simple but effective change. I don't think even you believe this is true. 5% of PD has access to something as basic as going plainclothes on duty. The blue blip is mostly an instant drop of any gang activity or, an upcomming escalation.
  4. While i understsnd what both @Ajaxand @Weston are saying. It is not that simple. Pd simply isn't in this state designed for that. It is hardwired to respond to priority events every 5 minutes. Even if you and a group of fellow officers keen to roleplay identify a group, there is no real place to make a case out of it and post it on a noticable place for others to see. And how will you gather such information? From a forum topic? Seems rather pathetic. Being present without being undercover at any gang filled area for a prolonged amount of time is just asking for escalation. A very simple solution is a small divison designed for that. Eager people ready to be apart of it.
  5. A beautiful suggestion. I'd like to focus on your second point because i outmost adore it. Sadly, this is not possible as PD is not gathering inteligence on groups - at all. PD is clueless about existant groups and can not tell apart idlewood gangs- let alone name leaders in them. It was my intention to create a detective division, which would do just that, but sadly while PD command was up for it, management was not. As we have FBI. FBI has never shared any case file against a group to my knowledge so PD is left without inteligence gathering. Sadly.
  6. Imagine not being able to apologise for a clear medicore messup and instead go full defensive mode, proving every allegation of you being incompetent managers. (Leonardo, Matthew) Whereas, you could have apologised and all personal attacks would be voided, as they would be invalid for the current situation. A large defensive argument has been that Matthew has provided the largest share of development in this server. Noone denies this. Matthew is a very talented developer. He was never targeted for his developer role, infact, all he has recieved through the years is praise for his contributions. He is targeted for repeated minor- mild infractions he has done under his administrative role. He rarely if ever claims responsibility for messing up, and this has been a prime example.
  7. @LeonardoI agree. My argument went into subjective waters at times but overall it is based on facts. I left the PD out of my long argument as I could make a thread 3 times as long, in short, it is not specific to this situation that the pd discord is a place for shit talk. Pd has many fundamental issues that i can not address in a single topic. I have mentioned the context for your announcment. Constant shittalk. I focused on FBI because you were not expected to do this. You went below your high standards and you do not pose fundamental issues that pd does. I simply can't compare standards of FBI and PD, all of your members are capable of higher roleplay than most of pd's officials.
  8. This is not a topic designed to jump-start long listed arguments. I would even prefer for this to be locked. This long topic is designed to voice facts instead of mindless arguments and agenda. I wanted to post this in the already made topic, however it contains too many medias for a reply. 1. - 17/7/2020 , a bad day for politics In order to further this discussion, i'd like to establish a common ground at what is seen in the video. 0:00-0:10 The new player "Pen" establishes that a blue sabre belongs to the FBI, and the two occupants to later drive it, are infact FBI agents. The viewer is also greeted with a scene of a riot, and the new player is serving as a law enforcer. 2 FBI agents were the FBI director , Matthew Carter himself and Leonardo Carter There also seems to be deceased body on the vehicle, but it doesn't bait an eye for neither of the enforcers. 0:24 - onward An active suspect being processed and arrested by the new player acting as the enforcer. Two masked occupants , shout at the new player, inciting him to kill the suspect with several shouts. The player subdues to the requests, and knocks down the suspect. After the killing, the undercover federal agents start complaining about a dead body (( the person was not dead)) on their vehicle. Another volunteer then proceeds to engage the officer unlawfully opening fire and the new player responds by using lethal force. Another volunteer joins the crossfire and engages, summing up the total shooters to 3. 3 Volunteers engaging in a gunfight, at reach distance from the occupied FBI vehicle. New player is gunned down, and the FBI agents do not interfere, and further act as civilians shouting "Oh my god". 2. "It was a secret operation, bro" -- IC side You might have read the previous segment in horror of the FBI and their presence in the shootout. This were the FBI director's words. This was the objective of the FBI presence at the protest. Right away, we can conclude that 2 objectives failed (1, 3) FBI was not observing, instead, it actively participated in the protest as the unlawful side. As another side note, FBI is supposed to be a superior roleplay faction. But as seen on the video, they are inside the vehicle observing 3 officers shoot eachother to death whilist not moving or interacting outside shouting "omg" 3. " Oh my god, it's a mirage. I'm tellin' y'all, it's sabotage" Shortly after, pd discord blew up into countless messages with sour intentions for FBI. One of the PD members went ahead and collected it all in one topic as a group effort to denounce FBI. The topic suggests the removal of FBI, which is harsh and unnecessary. The topic even included this very video. This was greeted by Matthew went to denounce the argument and after posting his opinion on the matter, he locked the topic. This caused a massive outrage and was the reason for a lot of shittalk that Leonardo will mention in the future. A senior admin Billy unlocked the topic shortly after with proper reasoning that the board is an OOC and the thread does not major forum rules. This decision was soon revoked by Leonardo after posting his own take on the situation, again denouncing the argument, and locking the thread ((There is a pattern there innit)) --- The winds went silent. The Clouds covered the amber sky. A lone plane, enclosing the distance. For a brief momment, you could see the hatch open, exposing the large bomb to gravity. It was leonardo posting his argument. Can you feel the energy from this text? It is at thing point where i would like to stop this argument for a minute. What is this, IC or OOC? Tough question ain't it? Well, running down the memory, it started as an IC video of an officer presenting evidence of fbi agents soliciting him. The evidence was then taken on the forums as an OOC complaint. The OOC complaint was then taken on IC PD announcement board with IC speech. This was an attempt to defame the department in an IC manner. Trooper chat, considered IC was filled with hate speech, which was the incentive for this post, however, Leonardo brushes of the context of hate with "" 3 volunteers opening fire on eachother while being solicited by the agents is indeed a stupid situation. Leonardo makes it a point that SAPD was player voted for the worst group. A group which is tasked to seize your drugs, your properties, hunt you when you are wanted, kill you when you are in shootouts, rip out your weedfields, arrest you for x ammount of time. Is it really a surprise that this is the group to get the highest amount of votes on such an area? And if anything, Leonardo and other managers that like to put a finger at PD for poor roleplay directions, are the ones that really lead the faction. Rest of the thread if you intend to read it, mostly looks like a father to son conversation, lecturing about a wrong deed from a perspective of unprecedented amount of power. 4. Dictatorial practices, Our lovely nation of wadiya. There is nothing, and i mean nothing, wrong with IC dictatorial practices. The FBI has immense amount of power ingame and rightfully so. The FBI serves as the highest enforcement authority and sometimes performs one of the server's most advanced roleplay. The issue arises OOC. Locking constructive topics to prevent voicing of concerns, posting opinions under public announcement areas where debate can not be issued, complete administrative OOC oversight over PD 5. End -personal opinion I don't have a personal agenda in this and I don't extensively care about the decision that will be brought up for this. I do however believe, limitation of OOC speech on topics based on serious IC issues is bad for any kind of role play community. I don't want to see the current FBI leadership changed, or FBI completely removed. I do however, want to see FBI limiting their ego OOC, and issuing friendlier approach OOC. I don't give a shit if you kidnap me in game, just be acceptable out of character.
  9. I will make a detailed argument about this soon. While i think PD had major mistakes in this argument, FBI is clearly at wrong here too. You can not excuse things as messing around. Audrey Riley, a cop fired for ooc ending a suspect was in this very manner witchhunted for his actions with no intent of malice. OD trucker situation was where PD was sanctioned and was heavily shitted on due to actions of a few volunteers. Instead of a human apology for missleading a new player into committing a crime, we have recieved a hypocritical bomb on announcements, an argument mixed with ooc and ic points. The argument itself deserves a long post which i will make, as it is word to word hypocritical and outright wrong. It goes so far to feature sapd's "worst group award" as a major point. Dear Leonardo, and rest of the folks mindlessly arguing over this, a simple " i fucked up" clears this quite well. Also please take down the announcement topic as it is a serious step backwards at any attempt of a healthy relationship between two groups. And as for PD requesting removal of FBI, you are delusional.
  10. SWAT patrols are very realistic. To put things in perspective. Say this city has this ammount of inhabitants: Now let's say, that every day, at least 50 homicides happen. And that is a very light number. That brings it to a total of 18250 homicides per year. This city is based of Los Angeles which has just under 300 homicides per year. That is 60 times less. The city has 4 million inhabitants. Mudoo RPG has more deaths per year than US in Vietnam War. I think the average player should be thankful there are no tank patrols

    Mudoo Players

Notoriety wouldn't be impacted by the amount of charges. It would however be impacted by activity, you must be online for atleast 1 hour p/day to keep it

    Mudoo Players

PD suffers from the same view angle. A lot of us water down our roleplay to match the average community member. Volunteers shouldn't even have guns in my opinion. And as for firing officers, getting fired in this department is really easy, a lot of you however never report an officer ICly. Unlawful discharge of weaponry is attempted murder and it gets you fired. Who in their right mind would even get arrested with active felonies? Why not just open fire on 5 incoming officers and then spam /do is dead, so you don't get revived. The right way to go about it, is to reward the player for staying alive. Criminals that stay alive for a week, get notoriety bonuses such as selling drugs at higher prices, making syringes/joints with less ingredients, smuggle gain boost, ((debatable : health 20% resistance, notorious criminals are harder to kill by a small margin)) If you want to punish the player for dying you will get nowhere, as you would need to make the punishment really severe before a player could feel it. Making it really severe would impact the player experience of lawful players that have a high mortality rate as a part of their job. I think this suggestion might prove useful in the light of a similar suggestion posted by @LocMax
