Property taxes (pay or loose your property!!)

Recently property taxes got some improvements and the system (tax authority) will start selling properties for which the tax has not been paid. This is your warning to start paying your property taxes if you want to keep your properties.

 

Tax authority

Every month a property will be taxed. The tax authority will automatically sell the property under the following conditions:

- There is still tax open on the property.

- The last time the tax was PAID is exactly 2 months ago.

 

Tax amount

The system will automatically add tax every month after the property was bought.

 

To prevent selling the property just before the tax date to not have to pay taxes, the system will calculate the days you have owned the property without paying tax and still tax you for those days (+ 1 day administration costs, buying and directly selling will thus cost handling money).

 

For one month the tax is a percentage of the price of the property. The following taxes apply:

- Tax 1.7%

- If property price is under $500.000, tax is 1.6%

- If property price is under $100.000, tax is 1.5%

 

Viewing tax

To view the amount of tax that is still open and see how much extra the system will calculate (as described above), you may use the command /property tax to view the details. The open tax on a property and the tax and paid dates (excluding the calculated extra tax) can also be viewed on the panel. Visit the assets page and view more info on your property.

 

Paying tax

You can pay the property tax by standing on the entrance icon and use the command /paytax. This will pay the taxes which are at that moment open on the property. This thus excludes the extra property taxes as described above, as those will only be paid when selling the property.

 

Selling property with tax

Any tax on the property (including the above described extra taxes) will be deducted from the price of the property when you sell it. Thus, you will receive less than the property price if there are still taxes open.

what if a person has a property someone once and only logs in to pay taxes every two months, will actions be taken?

At the moment, not necessarily. The notices as described in the following topic are still active though. On a case-by-case basis "special" properties can be sold by management.

Logging in just to pay tax so you don't lose your property lol fucking absolute degenerates.  Hope someone just removes properties from the players doing this, whether it's "special property" or not.
