    I would like to suggest a dynamic job market. We all know that mining and trucking is the most profitable right now that's why people tend to do these jobs the most.  Create a dynamic job market where job availability and pay rates change based on the current state of the game world. For example, if there is a shortage of lumber, the pay rate for lumberjacks could increase, or if there is a high demand for certain goods, the pay rate for truckers could increase.
