Josh "Samurai" Dalton.

This is a remake of my characters story, as last time I made it I was very un-experienced in the roleplay world. I will be remaking it not in a different way, but with more detail and story behind the character I play. If you enjoy the read please react with a like thanks for reading!

Chapter One : The beginning.
Josh Simmons was your regular child growing up, he enjoyed the life of a loving family and had a group of your regular friends. He grew up in Ganton, raised by a loving mother and a father that wasn't perfect. He went to school regularly as the other kids, and he had high aspirations for what he would become in life but he had no idea. His home life wasn't exactly perfect as his father had a rough view to life, he was a member of the renowned Grove 6th Street Families. While growing up he saw what his father did and he was well aware of who he was, but Josh didn't see this as glamorous and after seeing some of the things his father had went through, he built up a hate for the gang life and wanted to avoid it and set off on a different path. His father was well known in the gang, being an OG (Original Gangster) he grew up with a lot of respect and fear around him, which he despised. Josh didn't want people to look at him differently because of his fathers street rep, and he hated it when someone would fear him or blindly agree with him due to his fathers affiliations.

Chapter Two : Growing up.
As he grew older, he would watch his father experience the gang life therefore he had a good understanding and a close view of what it meant. Sometimes he would even see his father return home with gun shot wounds, or see him on the street with his homies. Whenever he witnessed this he would attempt to avoid his father, he didn't want to get to know any of the members as he knew it would eventually lead to his initiation and joining of the gang. Usually he would just act like he doesn't notice it or pay attention, one time he even found his fathers stash, full of money, drugs and even a pistol. Josh grew intimidated by this, and he began being more distant with his dad. Little did he know he would soon regret the distance he built between them, his father was soon found in possession of an assault rifle, a high powered AK-47 that he was holding for a higher up leader in the gang. This didn't come as a surprise to him as he knew that eventually, his father would either end up dead because of his life choices, or even end up in prison serving a sentence that is longer than his life itself.

Chapter Three : The trial.
Soon after his dad was caught and arrested in possession, he was facing a trial. When the day had came he woke up at 05:00 AM to the sound of his mother crying, she wasn't sure how she was going to survive on these streets without a father figure in the house and she was worried for how Josh would end up. When they reached the trial the atmosphere was almost completely silent and desolate, he sat in his chair awaiting for the judge to finally utter the sentence. And when he heard the words "life in a maximum-security prison." The weapon his father was found with, was linked to a drive-by on a rival gang not long before he had been found. He wasn't sure how to feel in the moment, he really did expect this to happen but it was still unreal to him. He would now grow up and experience the rest of his life only seeing his father through a prison visiting room, and he had intense regrets for not accepting his father as he was, and spending more time with him.

Chapter Four : Teenage-Years.
A good few years after the events with his father, Josh had quickly hit the age 15 and had watched most of his high school friends build gang affiliations. This was very hard for him to watch as he had witnessed what happened to his father and how he ended up. He continued his life putting hard work into school time, hoping to get away from all the crime and drama in the area he grew up in. Although it wasn't all that easy, he had to follow guidelines on where he could and couldn't go, as it was very easy to become a target to the gangs even when you aren't involved. At the time a big war had been brewing between G6 and the rival gang NBA, this resulted in almost everyday events in his neighbourhood and Idlewood. He ended up seeing his fair share of drive-bies, shootings and even robberies but he never thought him or his family would fall into the cross-fire.

Chapter Five : Felicia Simmons.
Josh's mother, Felicia was a very hard working woman. She would do everything she could to fill the void that his father left, and make sure that he had everything he needed to succeed in life. After his father was gone she was all he had when it comes to family, others either became distant or passed away. It was a regular day in his life, as he was heading back home just passing the Ganton Gym, when he heard gunfire from his street. He didn't think much of it as it would be the usual around those parts, until he realised as he got closer that the EMS and Police were outside of his house, at first he was confused but then it set in. His mother was the victim of a drive-by, that happened at around 15:45. He didn't know where to go, or what to even think he was overwhelmed with emotions of depression and hate. He decided not to come home, and he didn't show himself to any government entities that day, because he knew if he did he would be put into the rough system where he would most likely be neglected. Now all there is to think, is where would he go?

Chapter Six : Lincoln and Eazy Dalton.
Lincoln and Eazy Dalton were the kingpin's of the well known LS gang Grove Street, 6th Families. They knew about what had happened to Josh's mother, and they felt a deep sadness for him as they knew he wasn't involved in the life. Josh had found them outside of his house, across the street and he didn't know where else to go. He had no one else that understood him, like the rivals of the people who killed his mother would. He began forming a relation ship with the two brothers, and they took a liking to him because of his fathers affiliations. He did everything they asked and finally succumbed to the gang life, completely oblivious to what would come next. The brothers soon invited Josh to speak to them, and they seemed very serious in the situation. They told him that they could give him what he wants, revenge. But this would only be given to him if he would join the gang, and show his loyalty until his last days. Without thinking much and clouded by emotion, he accepted their offer and was soon looking for the man who killed his mother.

Chapter Seven : The End.
They had finally received intel from the homies, that a man fitting the description of his mothers killer was spotted around Idlewood Pizza Stack. They didn't hesitate before they got into a car, and pressed their foot on the pedal to get there before the chance was gone. Upon reaching the area they realised that he was on his own, with no further protection from NBA. They took their chance and chased him into the alleyway behind the Pizza Stack, where Josh tackled him and got him to the floor. He realised he didn't have a weapon and looked over to the trash can beside him, there it was shiny and sharp. The weapon he laid his eyes on was a katana, collecting rust probably disposed of after being used in a crime. He took it and didn't hesitate as he plunged it through the NBA OG. He finally felt something, a rush, a newfound emotion in his life. Following these events, he kept the weapon he had used that day and would stay loyal to G6 for the remainder of his life, earning him the name Josh "Samurai" Dalton.

Thanks for reading, it was pretty improvised but lemme know what you guys think!
