    idk but...
    player X kills player Y,
He DMs him and finishes him off, the player Y already lost his Notoriety.

Staff punishes player X, but since he was a newbie and just wanted to kill every player he sees, hes left with just a verbal warn...

On the other hand player Y will rage as hell as he lost his Notoriety.
    Just saying.

Admins could set the points via a command

This notoriety feature is a one-way ticket to Disney Land, then after that the server dies.

Let me give you a reason to stay alive. If you want your guns and drugs you worked hard for to not get robbed, don’t get involved in scenes where you’ll end up getting killed.

The rewards for staying alive is keeping your stuff and continuing progress.

Except that's not the case, at all.

You can still be robbed, i don't see where it was claimed otherwise.

Because he's limiting the opportunities, if such thing gets implemented people are gonna be desperate not to die, the current system is literally fucked up like it is, you pull up to some random guy and ask him to hands up n roleplay a robbery, the guy just runs away. With such thing added it's gonna make it worse, the guy won't even roleplay cause he's desperate for such useless perks you'are trying to add.

No one has complained about the daily shootouts either, I believe you are well satisfied with your current police system so why bother.

    Limiting opportunities?

Adding several features that increase victim's compliance in roleplay situations , kidnappings, shootouts, and a police scanner are limiting? How?

They have an incentive to roleplay in a robbery because if you have several notoriety points you won't risk to loose them over a stupid robbery.

Daily shootouts will still happen if you are worrying about the lack of. People will simply not engage if the odds are against them, decreasing things like suicide by cop.

  3. Notoriety bonuses that would increase compliance and roleplay standards.

As of now, there is literally no incentive to stay alive.

Recently, this suggestion was was forwarded by a community manager.

    image.png.ebb33a601a7adf7e60d5f56d4994bf0c.png

I personally don't see how a 5 minutes delay and a skin change would impact the low roleplay standards.

The suggested seems like a 10 minute inconvenience at best.

I think this should be met with another implementation.

Instead of making drastic punishments for criminals, how about adding some features for once?

How about a rewarding system for criminals that manage to stay alive for a long period of time, scaling up to very noticeable bonuses.

By being rewarded for not dying, players would seek a way to bargain to avoid death. Inconvenience of loosing notoriety due to dying would force the player to seek ways to surrender, comply or escape.

    Example of the system >

    Variable for notoriety

Requirements for participation in the system:

-Being apart of a criminal group having 20+ level in it

    -10+ Score

Starting at 0 for all current players.

Conditions for increase = 1 Hour playtime capped at 1 point per day

    Conditions for decrease  =

-Death = Net loss of all notoriety points

-Activity below 1h p/day =Net loss of 1 Notoriety point

    Notoriety bonuses

    3 notoriety points

= Increase in drug sales +10%

= Syringe / joint drug amount requirement -10%

    = 2x Jail time

    5 notoriety points

    = Police scanner

/PS toggles the police radio.  The player is able to see the police radio. Can be bought at the drug dealer and is an active item which should be illegal.

A player cannot use the police scanner with insufficient notoriety level.

    =3x Jail time

    7 notoriety points

= No auto suspect (Inspected bodies the player drops always reveal the player who shot, making it vital to clear the scene)

    =10% damage reduction on health

    = -20% requirements for producing joint /syringe

    = 6x Jail time

    Notoriety scoreboard

Can be viewed with a command.
IC reasoning is notorious people are always rumoured around.

  4. Notoriety wouldn't be impacted by the amount of charges.

It would however be impacted by activity, you must be online for atleast 1 hour p/day to keep it

The only way to improve RP standards on any server is to have a respectable police department. That means a harsh hiring procedure, multiple higher ranked officers dedicated to a desk job monitoring officers and firing them after three strikes. Removing the ability to jail from investigation room. Take /su and jail away from volunteers.

PD suffers from the same view angle. A lot of us  water down our roleplay to match the average community member.

Volunteers shouldn't even have guns in my opinion.

And as for firing officers, getting fired in this department is really easy, a lot of you however never report an officer ICly. Unlawful discharge of weaponry is attempted murder and it gets you fired.

From here you can start working. Now personally I think jail times should be increased heavily to discourage DM after such changes. You're not going to shoot a random if you'll spend an hour in jail for it when police catches you eventually.

Who in their right mind would even get arrested with active felonies? Why not just open fire on 5 incoming officers and then spam /do is dead, so you don't get revived.

The right way to go about it, is to reward the player for staying alive. Criminals that stay alive for a week, get notoriety  bonuses such as selling drugs at higher prices, making syringes/joints with less ingredients, smuggle gain boost, ((debatable health 20% resistance, notorious criminals are harder to kill by a small margin))

If you want to punish the player for dying you will get nowhere, as you would need to make the punishment really severe before a player could feel it. Making it really severe would impact the player experience of lawful players that have a high mortality rate as a part of their job.

I think this suggestion might prove useful in the light of a similar suggestion posted by @LocMax

I did not even mention you or anything about sending that video to administration. My point is about LocMax. I dont know what you're getting at here.

You wrote in such manner that i thought you referenced me as going to a manager with edited footage to open this topic, if not, i was mistaken

  7. And before you go and say the unedited video has a cut in it, it was when i switched recordings.

Shadowplay covers 2 minutes and I had to record again.

Way to go for a community manager to open a topic about a specific player, with screenshots that you redacted... That alone invalidates any point you're trying to make.

Stop throwing tantrums or at least release unedited logs and conversations, cause posting edited video's and cherry-picking  discord screenshots is setting a really really low standard for your player base. What made you think opening this topic was a good idea in the first place? What do you hope to achieve? TBH I would remove this thread if I were you. You're making the whole administration team look like fools.

You are the community manager, you should know better.

If after 20 times that has been said i have not reported or sent this video to any administrator you still think i have, I think of you as nothing less but disabled

I'll drop my two cents here if anyone is actually giving a damn fuck about my opinion.

Cops here are already way too much overpowered here and I haven't seen any cop getting warned for deathmatch whenever someone completely harmless and unarmed got killed in middle of a shootout. Guess what? Nobody is giving a single fuck when a criminal is getting deathmatched but we actually post topics when a cop gets killed for being dumb as fuck? Let's assume it was a rushed decision from the criminal side this time but you need to be so retarded approaching a bunch of potential suspects and acting so innocent doing /me extends hands to handshake, like really? Those guys have just kidnapped someone, of course they're going to defend themselves from any possible threaths coming towards them. It is your fault for being so pathethic approaching mobsters "trying to roalepaly". I'm playing since a few months here and I haven't seen a police officer roleplaying at all, so stop pointing fingers on people for your retardness.

have you tried our minecraft server?

  10. A lot of you are missing the point of the video.

The video shows me logging into the server after recording a guitar track, going to the tolls and getting a car to go to LSPD, only to be killed seconds later by 10+ people.

The video is meant to be nothing but satire of how stupid my situation was.The administration took it as a way to punish you because what is seen on video is disgusting.

Over half of replies are from Jamal accusing me of this and that. None of his claims have been true thus far and I don't feel obligated to deny his claims with arguments because they are stupid.

There is no more context to this video. As much as you'd like there to be. I didn't force crash. I didn't go afk for a minute. I didn't come for backup. I didn't know you are suspected. Rooney wasen't picking me up /coming as called backup.

The video shows everything what happened and it's funny. It's funny because this video plays every stereotype this server has.

In the end, maybe you are the one in the wrong place at the wrong time, maybe your actions were right.

But whatever it is, more that you stand behind this monkey roleplay, more stupid you look.

  11. @MukulYou seem very angry, i'd suggest you take a look at the SWAT topic as well, you seem as a man of culture so go stir some shit there too
