The Story of Hilly Flores
(serious)
Prologue
In the late 70's, Hilly Flores was born in Brixton, UK to an impoverished family. His parents were immigrants part of the Windrush generation, who settled in the United Kingdom in the mid 60's. Throughout the 80's, Hilly struggled at school but he befriended some of the older boys in his council estate. They introduced him to marijuana, heroin and knife crime. Soon enough, he dropped out of college to pursue the criminal life style. Some time towards 1986, Hilly's cousin got stabbed in the stomach, and died from his injuries. Distraught from his loss, Hilly left Brixton, and used whatever savings he had to relocate to Los Angeles, in the US in hope of becoming successful.
1987
In 1987, Hilly had moved into a small apartment complex next to a gas station near LAX. He went to his local church in Jefferson, hoping to stay on the right side of the law. One day, after service, he saw a couple of men, no older than himself, wearing tracksuits and clothing similar to the gang members back in Brixton. He introduced himself to them, who were part of the #75 Hitsquad gang that had been up and coming in the Jefferson Area. Soon enough, Hilly Flores found himself associating with criminals again. #75 taught him the ropes on how to be a hardened gangster in the streets of LA, and with them he gained respect and moved up the ranks, making a hell of a load of money while doing so.
In 1990, multiple members of #75 were arrested under federal racketeering charges under the RICO act. Many leaders and high ranking shot callers were arrested and serving sentences in federal penitentiaries, but Hilly stayed under the radar and made it out as a free man. For the next 5 years, Hilly moved back into his shitty gas station apartment near LAX, and worked night shifts as a grocery store clerk.
1992
At the dawn of 1992, multiple #75 members got released from jail. Hoping to get back into the action, he tried to re-unite with them, but some of them had moved out of state, as some of them had flipped and become state's evidence. Hilly had fallen into a drug addiction, where he would be using most of his wages to cover his drug debt, but his minimum wage job was not enough. At midnight, Hilly has just come home from the night shift at the store. As he was sleeping on his couch, he heard his window smash. A low level drug dealer of NBA had broken into his house, to search for money and property he can sell to compensate for Hilly's drug debt. Finding nothing, he forced him to commit small time crimes, such as robberies, under the impression that he would get his fix after the job. Soon, Hilly got arrested for these crimes, and served a couple of months in jail.
1993
After serving time in jail, Hilly approached his peers at NBA, and asked again to do some small time jobs to make some money so he could pay rent. Again, Hilly started associating himself closer to these gang members, and became a fully initiated member of NBA.
Throughout the few months he's been part of NBA, he has risen the ranks to becoming more respected, now as a Thug instead of a low level errand boy Hood Rat he used to be. He's moved out of the gas station complex he once lived, and now lives in a small house in the Jefferson area, near his old place.
Soon, he hopes to make enough money to get out of the hood, and relocate back to his home county. But as of now, it isn't possible. He will stay within the gang for many months to come.
