THE GAMBINO LEGACY — Nelson Gambino’s Story of Power, Business and family 📰TCOV Veteran Stories #4   Recently, I had the chance to sit down with Nelson Gambino and hear about his journey in Valrise and his time with the Gambino Family.   Nelson has been around Valrise for about five years or more. His journey started with a small pub, where he eventually crossed paths with members of the Gambino Family. What began with a simple offer of protection slowly turned into something much bigger. He described those days as some of the most exciting times in his life. The family had a strong presence in the city, with businesses spread across different areas. Behind it all were leaders who worked together, held meetings twice a week, and made important decisions for the organisation. Of course, it wasn’t always easy. Nelson mentioned that dealing with betrayal and managing the family’s different operations were among the hardest parts of his leadership experience. But when asked what he misses most, his answer wasn’t about money or power. It was the time spent with the people. He fondly remembered sitting at the old Gambino headquarters, drinking whiskey and listening to Don Carlo. He also gave recognition to Don Carlo, Don Ashton, Shaquille, Tanzidur, and many others who were part of those memorable days. Now, with Gambino making a return, Nelson has his eyes on rebuilding the family’s legal businesses. He is currently handling the business side and has plans to open a strip club, hoping to make it one of the city’s biggest attractions. When asked to describe his entire Gambino journey in one sentence, he simply said: “The most exciting time of Valrise and my life.” Sometimes, the best stories aren’t just about what someone built, but also about the people and memories they carry along the way.
