  1. Good to see you guys grew some balls and are going to change what made the server cancerous in the past, which was no repercussions for your RP actions. Well done.

There is a variety of other scenarios which won't include guns, but that's how it works in light RP. And players are not to be blamed because lack of rules leads to that.

There is nothing to blame other than players' lack of initiative, currently everyone is focused on 'winning' so there's no common courtesy, this has nothing to do with rules but just players' greed. You think changing the server to lsrp clone would magically turn the situation around, no, people would still only rp robberies if they have no creativity with the only difference it'd be even easier for them to do so with srs rp rules. Give it a rest.

It's also ironic of you to make such statement when you upload screens of 5 roleplays and all of them are a robbery.

Want to make a change? start with yourself.

  3. The thing is with current playerbase level 10's unironically don't understand that they can't return to a scenario they died in. Good luck explaining to Ahmed playing from a net cafe in middle of baghdad as bullets whiz by, that he can't call you by your name since you weren't introduced to each other ic. It's just pointless to implement. If you want serious rp there's enough servers for that.

I'd be happy to be convinced how is it that no metagaming rule would make the server so much better, especially considering 80% of roleplay on the server atm is just random robberies and kidnaps? (usually pointed at innocent unarmed newbs when the big boys arent online).

There's no police raids, no inter-group drama, there's literally nothing that no metagaming would change except for newcomers being confused as to why they're unable to refer to you by your nickname.

  4. Because no metagaming is a shit rule and common sense should be applied instead. Obviously you can't raid someone due to seeing a screenshot on the forum, but pretending not to know where somebody's warehouse is to enforce 'no metagaming' is stupid for example. It only detriments from actual gameplay.  It also starts total cancer wars ingame, eg. trying to kidnap boss of a rival enemy faction after alliance is broken; he could claim you have no idea who he is IC and that you have no reason to kidnap him etc.

It works on a server with 400 players, not 40.

  5. The problem begins  in the fact that 50g of heroin is nothing (you make 100g per batch) yet most of cops are under-equipped with no armor, while on the other hand every criminal has a few kg's of drugs. Maybe make it so it consumes like 15g per use instead? dunno

The thing is that you want to outsmart someone when you dealing right? PLayer1 does offer you 60 or 70$ per gram  when NPC offers you 80$ or Plus,  now think how dumb someone has to be to sell weed with way lower price when he can wait and sell it for better price.

In every business there's a food chain... if you're just a random freelancer doing heroin in shacks with a deagle you're not meant to get the full price - is that hard to understand? Players climb to the top together. If you want the full price work for it. And btw the top prices are around 70pg for weed and 78 pg for heroin now, for unofficial groups.

and BTW there's more than 6 groups to sell to right now, so if you got scammed by each one I feel very sorry for you guys...

  7. Ever thought of not handing someone 5kg instantly but increments like 50g>250g>500g>1000g to avoid being scammed? This is exactly what's wrong with the server atm... everyone just treating it like single player game to avoid any danger/risk as much as possible

  8. It's not. Making it 15 would mean currently 60% of playerbase could sell it again. Either way you're getting -20% selling as civilian, so start cooperating with gangs - finally they have a purpose to exist other than robbing random people

  9. No, the change was made for a reason. Currently there was literally 0 player-to-player dealing and this is why the change was introduced. Every level 3 player would just sell to dealer himself.

Level 20 is fine as it is because it means experienced players can solo (at the disadvantage being reduced prices from dealer, so its still better to work with groups - just as it should be) yet new players will have to sell to players for increased interaction. About the scams, well yea it happens, but it's part of criminal life. You can always be a lumberjack instead.

  10. x1.5 would require  15 shots to kill someone with 100 armor. Currently it takes 23 m4 shots to kill someone with 100 armor.  Given the extreme inaccuracy with AK I don't think 12 shots to kill someone with full armor (if buffed by 2x) is too op. Best if it was tested on dev server first tho

  11. You know you can /v my    to hide the cars right? that way nobody would steal them. It simply seems pointless to have garages if you can despawn your cars anytime you want, it actually saves the troubles of having to set garages (for admins) and having to enter garages to take their cars (for players).

2 and 3 are kinda nice, I agree businesses should have some predefined small payday, theres too many bizes that there will be simply no point in ever buying

  12. Simply put - buff AK damage by twice, keep rest of stats as it is. That way it turns into a typical gangster weapon (inaccurate as fuck but hard-hitting, need to get close) currently there's literally no point in crafting AK, it costs the same amount of parts and even if you make it cost less everyone will prefer to craft m4 instead because it's ten times more useful. AK is so inaccurate you can barely use it while walking unless you're hacking, so making it do double the damage would make it a suitable weapon for close quarters combat, giving a reason to use it at all.

    Chainsaw? uhm no.

Looking at current economy I dont think one would think spending $5,000 on a chainsaw. Chainsaw shall not be available for sell in stores please.

And that's exactly the point, you'd buy it for rare occassions, not everytime you're cooking heroin to typekill cops who approach you. In fact I was thinking it should cost like 8k-10k instead considering 8 minutes in a heroin shack gets you more than 10k.

Loot from dead bodies should be a big no. I agree on removing shacks and making them with an installable equipment in your house. Tho, every player should only be allowed to use one and not more.

Why not make the whole heroin cooking set purchasable by parts and let the player set those objects himself inside the house but they need to be close to each other in order for cooking to work.

Because being able to grind even more in peace away from any risk of encountering a hostile player is exactly what a server with 30-60 players not interacting needs. Again; there are legal jobs for a reason, why do people insist on doing illegal stuff if they want to remain in peace? It's already problematic enough that there's no FBI-type force that'd raid people's weed houses using undercover agents and so on, we don't need more things that have no risk

Timon it's not an excuse. Player A knows that Player B has drugs/items/wtv , player A does some poor roleplay and kills player B, retrieves his items. Multiply by 30x per day and divide by the admins online.

Better having a few more reports to handle instead of even admins avoiding /handsup in roleplays :thonk: besides it's literally the same amount of reports only difference being instead of a report for powergaming from the robber's side you'll have a report for dm from the victim's side. There's also no such thing as 'poor roleplay' considering most of the playerbase doesn't have the mental capacity to comprehend basic english, a robbery RP is very simple, comply or get shot, it's a gta game so I don't see no problem - as long as a rule is implemented that you can't rob the same person in same hour span. (but that's kind of an unwritten rule already).

There's also houses, ATMs to store your stuff for a reason, now that anyone can share a key it's no problem at all.

Also losing shit on death would be disabled for players of level 3 or below.

  16. The way body looting needs to work is:

The victim loses more by dying than by getting robbed/seized by cops

The robber/cop gets more by robbing/seizing than looting a dead body

this way all it does is encourage people to actually care about dying, and having to use houses for storage more (now it's pointless because everyone just provokes you to kill them doing everything in their power to avoid /handsup)

I don't think adding chainsaw will be a good idea as people will just use it to kill others and lets face it we all know how annoying chainsaw is in tdm,now imagine you are in middle of a rp and the guy pulls a chain and kills you instant because you were typing the next line..

true but same can be done with a knife which is 35$, typekilling isn't allowed anyways, and chainsaw should cost like 5k minimum

  18. Add hardware store business type, something like in Vice City, it sells tools - aka. every melee weapon in the game

    1. when you have a shovel in your hand - planting weed is faster (a different, faster animation is used)

    2. when you've got a knife in your hand, harvesting weed is faster (a different, faster animation is used)

    3. chainsaw should be expensive as fuck

  19. DM = killing for no reason

killing for no reason =/= killing each other during competition over resources

just grow the fuck up lol, it's a video game and a GTA based one as well, there is no difference between robbing someone at a heroin spot currently than shooting and stealing each other's trucks in an event like this. Anything that requires more input to get than standing still and typing commands is so much challenge for you that you have to use the DM excuse. The reality is half of the people complaining about DM here don't even roleplay when they're robbed etc, they just provoke/attack to get killed so they can respawn fast and go farm heroin again. Should we disallow cops from shooting suspects too? Don't want to get shot = don't compete with other criminals?

If this gets implemented either way it will be shoot on sight allowed OR interaction needed, and either way the outcome is the same - the only difference if interaction is required you have to drive up in a car and shout  shit. (which everyone will ignore) So I think it's best to spare everyone that and just make it you can attack the trucks on sight as long as you confirm they've got cocaine.
