PD suffers from the same view angle. A lot of us  water down our roleplay to match the average community member.

Volunteers shouldn't even have guns in my opinion.

And as for firing officers, getting fired in this department is really easy, a lot of you however never report an officer ICly. Unlawful discharge of weaponry is attempted murder and it gets you fired.

Who in their right mind would even get arrested with active felonies? Why not just open fire on 5 incoming officers and then spam /do is dead, so you don't get revived.

The right way to go about it, is to reward the player for staying alive. Criminals that stay alive for a week, get notoriety  bonuses such as selling drugs at higher prices, making syringes/joints with less ingredients, smuggle gain boost, ((debatable health 20% resistance, notorious criminals are harder to kill by a small margin))

If you want to punish the player for dying you will get nowhere, as you would need to make the punishment really severe before a player could feel it. Making it really severe would impact the player experience of lawful players that have a high mortality rate as a part of their job.

I think this suggestion might prove useful in the light of a similar suggestion posted by @LocMax

Elias, you hit the nail on the head. Chapeau. Rewarding people for staying alive would be a great idea.

Next thing then imo would be looking at the report procedure. It's very discouraging to have to go to the lspd's own forums to report them. When nobody gets reported, that is a problem. Not saying it's not both parties to blame, but when nobody is filing reports something is wrong with the procedure.

  2. The only way to improve RP standards on any server is to have a respectable police department. That means a harsh hiring procedure, multiple higher ranked officers dedicated to a desk job monitoring officers and firing them after three strikes. Removing the ability to jail from investigation room. Take /su and jail away from volunteers.

From here you can start working. Now personally I think jail times should be increased heavily to discourage DM after such changes. You're not going to shoot a random if you'll spend an hour in jail for it when police catches you eventually.

Nobody trusts volunteers or cops in the server and it leads to deathmatching. Another point being made here was about the protective barrier that is "IC issues". Misconduct or rulevreaking by police is always chalked up to being an IC issue, making them immune to reporting. To address this, the PD reports should be moved from their own forums (who came up with that anyway) to an in-game procedure.

Start here and see where it goes.

Why would you bother posting this then?

I also directed you to an unedited video and offered logs, but of course it's not in your interest to accept an unedited video or logs as that is not aligned with your agenda.

First of all, I dont have an agenda.

I posted this because I have a problem with you, in the role of community manager, posting a thread that calls out specific players. When you then also present your evidence or examples in the form of edited videos and selective chat screens, it simply becomes absurd. Even if you rectify that later in the thread.

It sets a horrible example and I hope you can see that.

If after 20 times that has been said i have not reported or sent this video to any administrator you still think i have, I think of you as nothing less but disabled

I did not even mention you or anything about sending that video to administration. My point is about LocMax. I dont know what you're getting at here.

  5. I couldnt care less about who is right or wrong. You're missing my point. The way you opened this thread is embarrassing and you're setting a horrible example for your community.

  6. Way to go for a community manager to open a topic about a specific player, with screenshots that you redacted... That alone invalidates any point you're trying to make.

Stop throwing tantrums or at least release unedited logs and conversations, cause posting edited video's and cherry-picking  discord screenshots is setting a really really low standard for your player base. What made you think opening this topic was a good idea in the first place? What do you hope to achieve? TBH I would remove this thread if I were you. You're making the whole administration team look like fools.

You are the community manager, you should know better.

    Interview with the candidates.

    By: Billy Bumpkin |  8th May, 2020.

A few hours, that is the time voters still have left to vote for the governor election. At ten 'o clock tonight, various pollingstations submitted data that confirms a total of 255 votes have been cast already. Obviously this must be a very exciting time for all three candidates... And when's a better time then now,to ask them how this campaign has been for them. And how they think about what the outcome will be this Saturday at 22:00! Today I met with candidate Ace Westbrooks, Vice governor candidate Luqman Shabbir and candidate Richie Kavanagh.

    Ace Westbrooks

Billy: "Billy, from SAN News. "

Billy: "How did you feel about the campaign? It's been a stormy one hasn't it."

Ace: "It was fun at the start, but it became really tough afterwards. Escpecially after the attacks and threats."

Billy: "And do you have faith in the outcome in a couple days?"

Ace: "Yes. I'm indeed confident about winning. Lets hope the best one takes over."

Billy:" Very good. Thank you for your time. Best of luck the coming days: "

    Luqman Shabbir

Billy: "Mister Luqman, I tried to reach out to your Candidate Mr. Khan. I couldn't reach him but I think you can convey the story."

Billy: "How was your experience during this campaign?"

Luqman: "As Shehryar has experience and I am new, so it was a bit hard for me bit.."

Billy: "I see your party has made a lot of effort during the campaign. "

Luqman: "Yes, this is right. We really worked hard for this and we are tired now, we must need rest."

Billy: "Hahah! Allright then, one more question, then i'll leave you to rest.

Billy: "How is the faith inside your party? Do you think your party has a good chance of winning?"

Luqman: "Yes for sure, I have full faith in Shehryar and we trust on our hard work."

Billy: "Alright thank you very much for your time, that concludes the interview. Best of luck for the elections.

Luqman: "No I have to thank you. You guys are doing great work."

    Richie Kavanagh

Billy:" Good evening, mr. Kavanagh. Have a few minutes?"

Billy:" So, I'd like to know how you have experienced this campaign so far. It sure was a big one, wasn't it."

Richie: "Lots of good emotions, loads of new connections, hours spent innovating in the home office.

    Richie Kavanagh chuckles.

Richie: "No problems with the rest of the community, no assasination attempts, everything ran smoothly.

Richie: "I do need to thank my experienced team for it; Vice-governor candidate Julio Murphy, campaignmanager Liza Stokes, Head of security, Flynn McGregor, District judge Ben Blake, Chief Justice Weston Lockehead, The Stokes family.

    Billy chuckles

Billy: "I'm sure we don't have all night long mr Kavanagh! Haha."

    Richie: "What's the second piece?"

Billy:"Another question real quick; How excited are you for the outcome of this race? Do you have faith your party will win? Or is it going to be a close one."

Richie: "I'm very excited, I've been standing here for 24 hours straight. You can't see it in my face right now."

Richie: "Because i'm tired as hell! Ha-ha"

Billy: "Hah-ha! Just keep those shades on, and people won't notice!"

Richie: "I do believe it will be a tight race as we saw in the poll results but I think our party has a strong chance to make it this term. "

Billy: "Allright, well thank you very much for your time sir, best of luck!"

    Richie: "My pleasure, thank you!"

Huge turnout for opening of election booths.

    By: Bery Bumpkin |  7th May, 2020.

After an intense campaigning season the voting booths have officially opened.

A large crowd had gathered outside of Los Santos City Hall, waiting for the moment doors opened and they could finally cast their votes. Never before have the citizens of San Andreas been this invested in a Governor election, and never before has the race been this close. The candidates have been the topic of conversation on the streets as well as in the media over the last few weeks.

As long as an hour before City Hall opened its doors to voters, eager citizens formed a line in front of the building. “I have waited eagerly to vote for my hero here today.” comments a civilian at the scene who wishes to remain anonymous.

Official sources tell us that a record number of 62 votes had been cast only 20 minutes after the booths opened. This election might just go down in history as having the largest turnout ever. More news on the topic soon!

  10. How about player blips off during the nighttime, and on during the daytime or something like that? I prefer them off but I can see why people are against it. Seems like fair compromise

  11. To add to all this: it cant be that hard to disable admin commands for on duty police officers as well. The amount of abuse I've seen from cops who are also admins is astonishing. Teleporting to avoid roleplaying when its inconvenient, teleporting suspects. Warning people for evading. Kicking people for returning fire. I've seen all of this in the span of a few days. What the hell is going on?

There should be a role that keeps an eye on this. And has a different command and queue for reporting to this role. Abusing these reports should be a temp ban on first offense imo. Referring players to forums to report any injustice is demotivating and unfair to players. This can and should be worked on.

There is some very sad power tripping going on within the PD. Taking peoples licences for a week??? Seriously, who gets off on that? I'm glad that never happened to me. I would have just quit in that case.

I'm honestly wondering what the standards are for getting into the PD because from what I've seen there should be an interview. If that's true then how are we finding cops in game that do not speak english, do not know any basic server mechanics or even rules. How does this keep on happening? I've been stopped by cops trying to fine me 8k for a broken light in the middle of the day. I've been quadruple suspected of the same crime. I've been shot while typing seconds after police AHK spam. The list is endless. Please do not be afraid to completely purge and rebuild the faction because maybe that's just what it needs
