Howdy There Folks!
You may well be wondering who and what is the San Andreas Sheriff Department? Well buckle on up and tie your laces as I take you on a whistle stop tour of the SASD. Hold on to your hats, it'll be a blast ya hear!
General Patrols
That's right folks, you can expect to see the Sheriff folk riding on through a town near you and keepin' an eagle eye on things. You need not worry tho' folks. Y'all legal? Expect a large dose of that southern hospitality! Y'all less than legal? Eh, well, we'll be havin' a chat. Y'all may even see us takin' a walk in the counties. It's good for the soul after all. They'll be no doubt at all on who's there to enforce a healthy dose of law an' order.
Country Safety
Well folks, naturally we will be the protectors of this here beautiful countryside the lord blessed us all with. You break a law in our patch? Y'all should expect some hefty ol' bangin' of your door. And you city folk needn't think y'all are exempt, you can expect us droppin' on by the city now 'n' then.
Border Checks
So this is gonna' be all about working them tolls, chattin' to people comin' in and out, and identifyin' folks who are trying to get into the counties for nefarious purposes. Y'all gon' love border checks. Some ways we gon' do this are by mannin' the tolls, interacting with people, checkin' folk's paperwork and proactively searching for illegal aliens. Folks, expect to see these here deputies having a good ol' chin wag with your about your activities.
Immigration Patrol
Us Sheriff folk will be tasked with searchin' for them ones who sneak across those borders and end up gettin' somewhere they really ought not be. Don't worry though, we ain' nothin' to fear, we are a friendly bunch really. Ya'll can expect some wonderful southern hospitality onto your way to the penitentiary should y'all be one of those illegals.
Highway Patrol
There's a lot of god-darn road between the counties, and it's our duty to monitor those areas for 'spicious vehicles, illegal transportin' or pesky varmints fleeing from the long arm o' the law. Us country folk and them city folk aren' mutually exclusive ya know? It's about working on together like a well oiled cog. Y'all can safely expect the city folk in the country and the country folk in the city.
State Prison
Guardin' the prison when occupied makes for perfect multi-agency interaction between SAPD/FBI/SD to make sure those pesky criminals don't do anythin' stupid. It's basic tasks like walkin' the cells, maintaining public order inside the cell and maintain' some peace and harmony in there. After all, we know these criminal folk can be a real danger sometime'.
Court Security and Serving of Papers
These here deputies are responsible for ensuring the courtroom is guarded whilst a court is in session, and are also responsible for the delivery of legal papers to folks who have been served with notice by the court. We'll be workin' with tha' state and federal government to deliver justice rather swiftly to them folk who need it. Y'all remeber that southern hospitality I spoke about? Theres more of that here too.
Drug Offences
Now some of these county and city folks like to take advantage of the privacy offered by being away from the city. Who are they to take advantage of our hospitality for cookin' and growin' dodgy substances? ...Not in our counties, boys! Y'all see us taking them on over to the feds if we need to. Otherwise, you've guessed it. We're puttin' em away.
Beyond
Well folks, our remit doesn' stop there, oh no sirs, y'alls Sheriff Department is a bunch of skilled country folk. We'll do are darnedest to ensure the lives of the folks livin', workin' and playin' in this here countryside is a delightful and safe time. Rest assure you can expect a friendly face when y'all see one of our distinctive here vehicles pullin' up. Of course folks, the southern hospitality I harp on 'bout? That's in large doses here too ya hear?

Well now let me put that into simple English for those of you who don't quite get that southern tone.
The San Andreas Sheriff Department is the law enforcement body responsible for the above tasks. Our role and remit will be to protect those who are within the country and indeed you can expect to see us carrying out tasks in the city too.
We are a skilled and disciplined team with a solid team of Deputies lead by a Sheriff. You can expect to see law enforcement in a whole new light when we start to role out onto a field near you!
