La historia del narcotraficante mexicano Ismael Zambada: Pusblished by La Jornada newspaper

Ismael Mario Zambada García born and raised in the mountains of the Mexican state of Sinaloa, in Culiacan. Ismael Zambada grew up in a poor family where there was not much food on the table, the family ran a small business in El Alamo in Culiacan where Ismael, together with his father, exported and sold fresh fish and looked after the fields.

There wasn't much money to be made, but it was enough to put food on the table.

At the age of 16 Ismael Zambada already started working with drugs but it was in small quantities such as 5 grams that he sold locally. Ismael grew up quietly in the criminal environment, when he was barely 19 years old he was a member of the Mexican cartel Guadalajara, where he worked as a "sicaro" among other things.

In 1989, the leader of the Mexican cartel Guadalajara Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo was arrested and sent behind bars in the United States, which resulted in his organization splitting into two opposing factions, the Tijuana cartel and the Sinaloa cartel. (Which is the cartel Ismael Zambada operates in)

Ismael thought about how they could knock the rival Cartel out of the global market, so Ismael used the same route he used to export fish to smuggle cocaine, heroin, and marijuana into the United States.

In the first attempt, it worked to smuggle 3 kg of marijuana into the United States.

The second time did not go as Ismael Zambada expected. About 4 kg Marijana was seized by SEDENA (Ministry of National Defense) and AIC (Agencia de Investigación Criminal) and therefore never reached the shores of the United States.

Ismael Zambada went to high-security prison Altiplano in Mexico.

With powerful friends in government, Ismael Zambada spent just 11 months in the high-security Altiplano prison in Mexico.

In the year between 2003 to the present, Ismael Zambada became suspicious under the United States radar, but the United States could not connect Ismael Zambada with any kind of criminal activity.

’’ On January 28, 2003, Ismael Zambada-Garcia was indicted by a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C. for violations of title 21 U.S.C. Section 959 and 963''

This indictment was dismissed in late July 2003. A preliminary arrest warrant was issued pursuant to this indictment.

10 years later, Ismael Zambada is finally prosecuted and this time the case is sealed:

Ismael Zambada knows when the US gets involved it means he could be put behind bars for life in the US.

One place the DEA won't have a clue where Ismael Zambada would be hiding is in the heart where the enemy lives. Therefore, that day Ismael Zambada decided to move to Los Santos, where he will continue drug trafficking, where he will operate from Flint Country, due to the location and number of the population.

But what Ismael Zambada did not realize is that Flint Country belongs to a very powerful and organized cartel, namely CSM (Cartel de Sante Muerte). If Ismael Zambada operates in CSM territory means that it is a direct threat to CSM economy.

Therefore, Ismael Zambada received an unexpected visit from Pablo, the head of CSM and his associate.

What was discussed during the visit is still unknown, but government informants (due to the legislation on ''name protection'' and the safety of government employees, the names cannot be published) mention that Ismael Zambada is still an active figure in the CSM today, what role he player is still unknown.
