Announces Governor election for the San Andreas State

 

1. Procedure

A. Every citizen who wishes to run for the position of the San Andreas State Governor is obliged to submit an application in this post. There are few requirements in order for you to be accepted as a candidate. These requirements are as follows:

• Possesses a legitimate passport and a drivers license
• Passes a background check by the Federal Bureau of Investigation
• If previously convicted in the court of law, the Congress can issue approval to proceed with application regardless

 

B. The accepted applicants thereafter become candidates. The candidates must host at minimum three campaign events which are publicly announced and scheduled at least twenty four hours prior to hosting. These campaign events must be at minimum twenty minutes long. Campaign events are such as: public speeches, rallies, meetings, debates and so on.

 

C. Voting occurs once the campaign period ends. The voting period lasts 48 hours. The candidate with most votes wins the election and is inaugurated as the next Governor.

 

2. Timeline

The following timeline will be followed during the election period:

 

March 12 to March 14 - Applications open for the position of a candidate

March 12 to March 28 - Campaign period

March 29 to March March 30 - Voting period

April 3 - Results and inauguration

 

3. Rules

All candidates must abide by the following rules:

• It is mandatory that candidates cooperate with the Congress and the FBI during the course of election.
• Vote manipulation in any shape, or form, is not tolerable. Such will result in termination from the election.
• Candidates may not commit criminal offenses during the course of the election.
• Candidates must have a running mate (Vice Governor) who will assume that position after inauguration.
• Candidates must meet the specified number of campaign events if they wish to proceed to appear in votes.

5. Authority and Obligations

Authority

• Create and implement new state laws;
• Add amendments to current state laws;
• Set property taxes per region;
• Set toll fees per region;
• Set base paycheck for state emergency services;
• Close or open stations for state emergency services;
• Add or remove vehicles from state emergency services;
• Bear the executive control of the State and all its cities and territories;
• Promote measures that enrich the quality of life of the citizens of the State;
• Work along with the guidance of The Congress;
• Use state government budget for various projects;
• Propose operations to be conducted by state emergency services;
• Initiate impeachment of a State Official; *

 

* A governor can initiate impeachment proceeding of a state agency official (such as a Chief of Police or a Chief of Fire Department) having legitimate reasons and evidence for the impeachment. The reasons of impeachment may be criminal activity (including abuse of power), or other behavior or acts which may be deemed obstructive to the development of the State Agency. A procedure for this will be written in detail.

• To actively be involved in the development of the State;
• To conduct at least four public conferences per month;
• To conduct at least two community projects per month;
• To be present in the state and actively communicate with State Agencies;
• To serve the citizens as a public servant and execute the campaign promises and other deeds for the betterment of the State, its the quality of life and the people;
