REFORMED GLEN PARK PROMISES NEW POSSIBILITIES

Governor Richie Kavanagh inaugurated the reformed park, turned into a recreational area

Yesterday [14], Governor Richie Kavanagh cut the ribbon to inaugurate the first work of his mandate: a reform of Glen Park, which has been long abandoned by the state in previous administrations, ranging from home to drug addicts to source of potentially dangerous diseases, as mosquitoes like the Dengue one [Aedes aegypti] lay eggs in places with standing water, so as Glen's tall grass due lack of care allowed it.

 

The event was marked by high popular attendance. Curious of the result, people flocked to witness in first-hand the changes in one of Los Santos' landmarks. As soon as the ribbon was cut, Governor Kavanagh led the people to a tour on the park's new features.

 

"The park will serve many functions, it'll be a community center and a hot spot for the local communities, where locals can get together to socialize with one another, have a meal and enjoy the nature. [...] And one more exciting function is the dirt bike track we have built, where adrenaline junkies can fulfil their needs.", Kavanagh says.

 

The reformed park now features a dirt bike track, occupying about a third in the western area, a hot-dog stand, new wooden benches and other minor aesthetical reforms, perceptible by the marvel old inhabitants of the city, used to the park for years can notice. However, what has attracted major attention from the citizens whom firstly toured the park was a giant statue portraying the Governor with a baseball bat. Met with strangeness, the artwork was subject of gossip by the public in scene. Buzz Times questioned three of them on the matter.

 

"Taxpayer's money invested in a self-image project?! I am consulting the law regarding this obscene and inappropriate act. What is the regard this government has for public investments?"

"The new government was just sworm in a week ago. Ain't that a bit too... narcissistic?"

"Ey yo, you fuckin' hear? The fucc' this shit be? Ridin' em granite all tough and shii'. This motherf**ker better be- [at this moment, the interviewee was tased by a police officer and arrested on 17 counts of murder]."

Asked by the Buzz Times about the new possibilities that the reformed park brings, Kavanagh stated "First of all, this is one of a kind recreational center for the adrenaline junkies and for amateurs trying to spend some good time in the city. The State will be hosting all kinds of events and competitions here, so, entertainment wise, we couldn't find a better spot". Also questioned on the goal he aspired to achieve with this reform, the Governor credits the possibility of a "community program" in order to "draw off heat from GS [Gas Station] 9".

 

In a side note, a mysterious shooter attempted to take the Governor's life at the event, but no harm was inflicted at all. However, a pattern starts to prevail and a question arises: are the intelligence services responsible to ensure the governor's security failing at their job to prevent those attempts, and are instead placing more emphasis on reacting to them?
