SAPD FAILS TO DEFEND ITS OWN
The SAPD has failed to put up a fight for its own against a potential targeting of an honorable public servant, Sergeant Armando Davis. The recent civil case (S. Chan v. SAPD, 2022) was not impregnable, some would even say the case has little merit. Why did the SAPD rollover so quickly? It could very well be due to the new inexperienced SAPD Chief Antonio Torres who wanted to squash any bad publicity against the department as soon as possible. However, was overcoming bad publicity more important than sacrificing one of your own command members even if they were not totally at fault, no. The SAPD has put up a crummy defense for its sergeant and this sends the wrong message to all the other SAPD officials risking their lives for us day in, day out. Please know, we appreciate you.
