2. LOCAL | CRIME | ENTERTAINMENT | POLITICS | SPORTS | TRAVEL | HEALTH | WEATHER | OPINION | NATIONAL NATIONAL Covid-19 (Corona Virus) enters San Andreas By: Ralph Smith | 14th March, 2020. Prices of masks hike as Covid-19 strikes San Andreas. With flights coming from China and other countries having infected population, San Andreas joins the list of countries encountering Covid-19 (Corona Virus). Coronaviruses (CoV) which have finally entered San Andreas are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to other more severe diseases. Many patients suspected of having Corona Virus have been admitted to the hospitals recently with over 60 patients in All Saints General Hospital. Measures are being taken to stop the virus from spreading further. Social companies are distributing masks to the general public and spreading awareness alongside. Local shop owners are selling the masks at insanely high prices to maximize profits from this global outbreak, they are also deliberately cutting down supply to hike the prices. Over 190,000 masks were produced and sold in the last two days as the outbreak continued. Latest information suggests that citizens which have no international traveling background are also infected from corona virus which means the virus has been transmitted locally as well. San Andreas News wishes San Andreas' citizens best of luck to fight with the Covid-19 Corona Virus and suggests them to wash hands more often to avoid the spreading of disease. 4. LOCAL | CRIME | ENTERTAINMENT | POLITICS | SPORTS | TRAVEL | HEALTH | WEATHER | OPINION | NATIONAL WEATHER Winter Is Finally Here! By: Rachel Toretto | NOVEMBER 30th, 2019. Various weather reports have predicted a rough winter in U.S this year, especially for San Andreas and neighboring states. Previous years witnessed gradual decrease in temperatures as winter came closer. This year's winter, on the other hand, is predicted to be a little more dramatic. San Andreas is expected to see some hideous mix of rain and snow according to verified reports by Accuweather.com. Los Santos, Las Ventures and other neighboring cities will be pounded by snow and rain starting from end of December. Above-normal snow will be evident in Los Santos as December passes. Las Ventures will witness heavy showers whilst San Fierro is expected to see a mix of both rain and snow. Senior Meteorologist Paul Pastelok says "I do feel this is going to be an active year for the whole of America" in a report by Accuweather. In a private interview, he also stated that this "light show of the snow" in San Andreas is "merely a warning for what's about to come." With that being highlighted, we suggest everybody to grab onto their blankets and take out the long forgotten jackets because it's about to get a little bit spicy. YOUR ADVERTISEMENT HERE. 6. LOCAL | CRIME | ENTERTAINMENT | POLITICS | SPORTS | TRAVEL | HEALTH | WEATHER | OPINION | NATIONAL NEWS SAN NEWS' First Anniversary! By: Rachel Toretto | NOVEMBER 21st, 2019. IMAGE: A glimpse at a distorted screenshot of the first article made by SAN NEWS (formerly known as TTNA). November 21st, 2018 was a glorious day that marked the birth of a news agency that is now the leading news agency of San Andreas. Today is 21st of November, 2019. One year has passed since Rachel Toretto came up with the idea of opening a news agency with one motive, a motive that is carried on to this day by San Andreas News, to share true and to the point news with the public. Ever since the company's birth, it has seen many changes and experienced hardships which are a story of their own to tell. Most of the people might not know that San Andreas News was formerly known as The Truth News Agency. It was until Rachel decided to merge the company with Los Santos Times (a competitor) upon their owner's request and that is when San Andreas News emerged with 100% market share of news sector in San Andreas. First joint article ever published by San Andreas News was on 11th of December, 2018 and it was indeed a true success. Since then, many articles have been published which have garnered hundreds and thousands of views globally. The SAN team has decided to thank each and every one of you for reading our articles and supporting us through the days of hardship. You are the reason we made it till here, thank you for that. 7. That picture is somewhat old from when the governor was still serving the Fire Department.
8. LOCAL | CRIME | ENTERTAINMENT | POLITICS | SPORTS | TRAVEL | HEALTH | WEATHER | OPINION | NATIONAL LOCAL Help the helpers: Join the Fire Department! By: Rachel Toretto | NOVEMBER 14th, 2019. IMAGE: Fire Department members aiding an injured civilian. After the unannounced reinstatement of Ex-Fire Chief Maxim Perez as Asst. Chief, Fire Department has started actively looking for brave people willing to put their lives at risks for the greater good of San Andreas and it's residents. Ever since SAFD's establishment in February 1, 1886, it had many ups and downs, especially with the amount of employees serving the department. Recently, the Fire Department has faced probably the most severe lack of employees ever in it's entire term. This is a direct consequence of other startups popping up in the state providing people with safer and higher paying jobs. This has also brought up questions and misconceptions into the minds of helpful and kind people who are willing to come forward and serve the Fire Department with courage and dignity. They are skeptical whether or not it is actually worth it to join the Fire Department and whether they're likely to die sooner than they have expected by getting enlisted under SAFD. Well, to clear off most of the misconceptions, it is more likely for an FD member to die of heart attacks or other heart conditions than dying from a fire in the line of duty. Once enlisted with the Fire Department, members experience intense trainings before they are actually allowed to respond to active fire in a burning therefore the chances of getting burned or badly injured in a burning house interior are very low. Not to mention the heavy protective gear that keeps them away from the fire. According to SAFD's website, an applicant needs to meet the following requirements before applying: These requirements can easily be met by any clean civilian living in the State of San Andreas. We urge everyone to apply if they want to positively change the future of San Andreas. SPONSORED BY: ((Use the format below to write a comment.)) Username: Comment:

11. LOCAL | CRIME | ENTERTAINMENT | POLITICS | SPORTS | TRAVEL | HEALTH | WEATHER | OPINION | NATIONAL POLITICS Govt. Candidate Lance Ricci shares wisdom. By: Rachel Toretto | NOVEMBER 7th, 2019. Image: Candidate L.Ricci and San Andreas News CEO R.Toretto in an interview. Lance Ricci, an active Fire Department member who is currently a candidate in the governorship elections shared some wise words with the CEO of San Andreas News in an interview. Mister L.Ricci, a 47 years old British male was invited to an interview by CEO R.Toretto at her office. A detailed conversation took place in which L.Ricci shared his motives and thoughts. He began his talk by saying "My will and mission goes to helping people and making them reach their goals. And what better place than the government to start from!" Fair point we shall say. Mister Ricci stressed the fact that "San Andreas is overrun by criminals and muggers, the crime rate has increased higher than ever. It has taken away people's lives from them." He also added that it has been happening due to increasing taxes which causes severe stress for people who then resort to crimes and illegal activities. The governorship candidate shared that he plans to spend part of the government funds on loans which will be issued to small business startups which show potential for growth. Mister Ricci promises he will bring reforms to the taxation system and lower them as they are the "root" to all problems. He also added "there are plans for state services as well, regarding their paychecks, working hours and equipment that they use." Is Lance Ricci the rightful carrier of the future of San Andreas? 15. LOCAL | CRIME | ENTERTAINMENT | POLITICS | SPORTS | TRAVEL | HEALTH | WEATHER | OPINION | NATIONAL CRIME Officer shoots down suspect mid-interrogation. By: Rachel Toretto | OCTOBER 26th, 2019. Image source: Google.com Carlo Gambino, a suspect arrested from a fierce gun fight that took place near the LS-LV highway, was shot down by an officer during the interrogation in the police headquarters. Police officer, later identified as officer Bruce McCane was interrogating the suspect in the police station at around 2:40 AM when suddenly a gun shot echoed the entire building. As officials rushed the scene, it became visible that suspect Carlo Gambino was shot dead in the room and officer Bruce had a gun held in his hand. Luckily, we were present on the scene and managed to take a few pictures of what had just went off. WARNING: GRAPHICAL IMAGE BELOW! Carlo Gambino down on the ground, shot dead on scene by the officer. In an interview held afterwards, Sergeant Marcus Martinez said "I've taken his badge and holster." We were surprised to see that officer McCane was not arrested, he was only suspended from his police duties for committing such a heinous crime. When we asked Sergeant Martinez about it, he replied "We cannot know what exactly happened without investigating the scene." According to him, CCTV footage will be checked and then Command Team will take a final decision on it. As for now, the murderous cop is suspended and is walking free on the streets. Had it been a civilian committing such atrocity, would he be wandering the streets like the suspended police officer? Tell us what you think in the comment box below! YOUR ADVERTISEMENT HERE. 16. We went inside only after all officers breached in, we also had our safety vests on and we were in cover behind the tables. Well, we wrote what we received from the officer himself.
17. LOCAL | CRIME | ENTERTAINMENT | POLITICS | SPORTS | TRAVEL | HEALTH | WEATHER | OPINION | NATIONAL CRIME Yet another chase ending in a gunfight. By: Rachel Toretto | OCTOBER 19th, 2019. Senior State Trooper Sam Rosso initially pulling over the suspect. At around 22:26, Senior State Trooper Sam Rosso spotted a carriage truck driving on the wrong side of the road, endangering lives of the citizens, he instantly pulled over the vehicle but not everything went as expected.... The suspect, whose name we have not received yet, started actively evading from the scene after pulling over for about 10 seconds. Trooper Rosso followed him cautiously from wide roads to narrow alleys. The truck finally came to an abrupt stop near the famous Idlewood 24/7. Evader immediately ran inside the supermarket. Backup soon arrived and the policemen decided to rush inside together. Somehow the suspect managed to escape from the 24/7 and stole an unattended vehicle near the supermarket, The policemen decided to pop the vehicle's tires so the suspect would not cause any further damage to the public. To no-one's surprise, the suspect withdrew a firearm and then ran inside the Idlewood Pizza Stacks. All responding officers set a perimeter and then pushed inside the restaurant with assault rifles. SAN News members followed inside and took pictures of the scene from cover. One of the officers took heavy fire and got his vest broken. One civilian, who was later identified as martial artist Assassin Rogers, tried to take law into his own hands and rushed towards the suspect, injuring himself badly. After an exchange of bullets for a few intense moments, the suspect was finally neutralized. He was later treated and taken into police custody. He is now facing criminal charges for his wrongdoings. All of this could have been avoided, had the suspect accepted his mistake and agreed to pay a mere ticket. Do you think it was worth it? Drop your thoughts in the comment box below. 18. > Close the public chat for a certain period of time (i.e: two weeks?) and observe how the majority of the community reacts to it. If all goes smooth, keep it closed forever. This is going to solve the toxicity and whining issue that this community has. Simultaneously, make sure /ask does not become public chat v2 and moderate it accordingly. > Train admins properly, tell them not to interfere in a scene if the person that 'DMed' the whiner/reporter is roleplaying because if he is, then he most probably did not DM and had a legitimate IC reason to kill. And by "roleplaying" I don't mean robbing so let that be clear. Admins should understand that all players are innocent until proven guilty. Admins should not halt a roleplay situation just because some whiner reported because he got dropped. They should be trained to not rush decisions, most of the time players tend to manipulate the admins into thinking they were not guilty. > Encourage players to report on forums instead of whining on /report in-game. Why? Well, it's self explanatory. How can we do it? Pretty simple, assign admins to check forum complaints daily and also probably create a separate department of admins for it who will check and handle reports within 48 hours. Also, give harsher punishments to those found guilty in a report on the forum. This also applies for staff-reports which are not checked in decades and most of the time staff members are only "WaRnEd." > If you're aiming to increase the RP level of this server, go slowly. Encourage players to roleplay, DO NOT force them to do it. They'll end up leaving if that happens. And most importantly, try to keep everything in-character. How can we promote roleplay keeping everything IC? As mentioned by many players above, players run for money and other assets in the server, give them that in return for some roleplay. I'll give an example here that can clear off any confusion: Faction-leaders (EMS team if there is any) can create in-character events such as Marathon Race which can supervised ICly by Police Department and maybe overseen by admins OOCly to avoid any trollish behaviour from retards. Winners of this said event could receive prizes funded by the Government (a.k.a. admins). The event could be ICly seen as a method of promoting people to exercise and have a healthy lifestyle and OOCly a method of promoting roleplay in the server without forcing anyone to it.
19. I'll be honest. I didn't really want to play but troll on those alternative accounts. I hope this short and 'on the point' answer is going to be enough. If you want me to write paragraphs on this then give me 12 hours I'm in school right now.
20. What is your in-game name? Ralph_Smith Which staff member banned you? Multiple. When did you get banned? 09/16/19 What is the ban reason? Ban Evading Personal comment Alright, so, this is my main account that I registered on the server's release. I was banned on various other accounts for trollish behavior and massive rulebreaking for which I'm guilty. I don't have anything to say other than the fact that this is my first actual ban (?) and I apologise for it. I would be delighted to see myself unbanned as soon as possible.
21. When will the server reopen? You should remap the Police Station tho.
22. I am really grateful to see a man like you in this community. I will try my best to help you guys. If you need me ANYWHERE just leave a message and consider it done.
23. It's not about OOC and IC, LS-RP is hardcore roleplay server and still gets many players. It's about the gameplay, admins and environment. I am fond of playing RP servers but this server is different. The system is too complex, take IM:RP for example, it's open gameplay attract more players. Get the feel of RP. Make it more simple and try advertising the server. Rules are not the main problem of the server, if players COME then they see the rules. Make the players aware of the server to gain more. I know how RP server(s) work. The first days are really harsh and you need to be active 24/7. I see no staff member active everyday. You need to restructure the whole staff team if you need a high and stable playerbase. If you need any help regarding RP servers you can surely contact me. LSPD, it is an organ of the RP server and it's hard for RP servers to work without it. You need to hire a good PD leader which can run it better. There are more things in the server to work on. Conclusion: The server is too complex.
